It flowers in late spring with masses of small white flowers. It is easily confused with the poisonous bog laurel (Kalmia microphylla) when it is not flowering. The leaves of this plant have been used by native peoples all across Canada in infusions.
Labrador tea may be found near Deer Lake, Burns Bog, Camosun Bog and Mundy Lake.
