Botanical Name: Equisetum arvense
Family: Equisetaceae

A herbaceous Perennial up to 75 cm in height. There are two types of stems one fertile and the other sterile, which are hollow except at the nodes/joints. The fertile stems are unbranched and do not have chlorophll. The sterile stems have leaves at the nodes. They like damp ditches and neglected areas.
